Terms of Service for SnapPhysics

Introduction

Welcome to SnapPhysics ("we," "our," "us," or the "App"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SnapPhysics mobile application, an AI-powered educational platform designed to help users learn physics through interactive experiences.

Please read these Terms carefully before using our App. By accessing or using SnapPhysics, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

1.1 Agreement to Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using SnapPhysics, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

1.2 Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by:

• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• Sending an email notification
• Displaying a prominent notice within the App
• Requiring you to accept the new Terms

Your continued use of SnapPhysics after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.

Certain features or services may be subject to additional terms and conditions, which will be presented to you at the time you access those features or services.

2. Eligibility and Account Requirements

2.1 Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to use SnapPhysics. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are 13 years of age or older.

For Users Aged 13-17: If you are between 13 and 17 years old, you represent that you have obtained permission from your parent or legal guardian to use the App, and that they have read and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2.2 Account Creation

To access certain features of SnapPhysics, you must create an account by providing:

• A valid email address
• Your full name (first and last name)
• A secure password
• A profile avatar selection

2.3 Account Accuracy

You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account

2.4 Account Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

• All activities that occur under your account
• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• Any consequences resulting from unauthorized use of your account

2.5 One Account Per User

You may only create and maintain one account. Creating multiple accounts may result in suspension or termination of all your accounts.

3. Description of Service

3.1 SnapPhysics Features

Snap to Learn (2💎 → 20 XP)

• Upload photos of physics scenes or concepts
• Engage in interactive conversations with Professor Snap AI
• Receive detailed physics explanations and answers to your questions
• Maintain conversation history within a session

Snap to Quiz (5💎 → 50 XP + rewards)

• Generate 5 multiple-choice physics questions from uploaded images
• Test your understanding of physics concepts
• Earn 2💎 for each correct answer (maximum 10💎)
• Review explanations for all answers

Snap to Story (2💎 → 20 XP)

• Transform physics concepts into creative, engaging stories
• Access text-to-speech audio playback
• Save and revisit your story collection
• Learn through narrative-based education

Snap to Visualize (2💎 → 20 XP)

• Generate AI-annotated diagrams of physics concepts
• Visualize forces, energy, motion, and other physics phenomena
• Receive detailed explanations of visual annotations
• Save visualizations for future reference

Gamification System

• Virtual currency (Diamonds 💎)
• Experience points (XP)
• Level progression system
• Daily check-in streaks
• Global leaderboard rankings

3.2 Service Availability

We strive to provide continuous access to SnapPhysics, but we do not guarantee that:

• The App will be available at all times without interruption
• The App will be error-free or free from bugs
• Any defects will be corrected immediately
• The App will be compatible with all devices or operating systems

3.3 Service Modifications

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or service at any time
• Change the cost of features (with advance notice)
• Update the App to improve functionality or fix issues
• Remove or modify content generated by AI

4. Virtual Currency System

4.1 Diamonds (💎) - Virtual Currency

Nature of Virtual Currency:

• Diamonds are a virtual, in-app currency with NO real-world monetary value
• Diamonds CANNOT be exchanged for real money
• Diamonds CANNOT be transferred between user accounts
• Diamonds CANNOT be sold, traded, or gifted to other users
• Diamonds have no value outside of SnapPhysics

4.2 Earning Diamonds

You can earn Diamonds through:

• Signup Bonus: 50💎 upon completing onboarding
• Daily Check-In: 10💎 × your current streak day (e.g., Day 5 = 50💎)
• Quiz Rewards: 2💎 for each correct answer in Snap to Quiz (max 10💎 per quiz)

4.3 Spending Diamonds

Diamonds can be spent on:

• Snap to Learn: 2💎 per session
• Snap to Quiz: 5💎 per quiz
• Snap to Story: 2💎 per story
• Snap to Visualize: 2💎 per visualization

4.4 Experience Points (XP) and Levels

XP Calculation:

• XP = Diamonds Spent × 10
• Example: Spending 5💎 earns you 50 XP

Level Progression:

• Level = floor(Total XP ÷ 100) + 1
• Level 1: 0-99 XP
• Level 2: 100-199 XP
• Level 3: 200-299 XP
• And so on...

4.5 No Refunds or Exchanges

Since Diamonds are earned through free in-app activities (not purchased with real money), there are no refunds or exchanges. Once Diamonds are spent, they cannot be recovered.

4.6 Account Termination and Virtual Currency

If your account is terminated (by you or by us), all Diamonds, XP, levels, and streaks associated with your account will be permanently lost and cannot be recovered or transferred.

5. User Conduct and Acceptable Use

5.1 Permitted Use

You may use SnapPhysics for:

• Personal, non-commercial educational purposes
• Learning physics concepts and principles
• Engaging with AI-powered educational content
• Participating in gamification features

5.2 Prohibited Conduct

You agree NOT to:

Illegal Activities:

• Violate any local, state, national, or international laws or regulations
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Engage in any fraudulent activity

Abuse of Service:

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, servers, or databases
• Use automated scripts, bots, or tools to interact with the App
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
• Attempt to circumvent any security features or access controls
• Exploit bugs or glitches for personal gain

Harmful Content:

• Upload images containing illegal, harmful, or offensive content
• Upload images depicting violence, nudity, or explicit material
• Upload copyrighted material without permission
• Use the App to harass, threaten, or harm others

System Interference:

• Introduce viruses, malware, or harmful code
• Overload or disrupt the App's servers or networks
• Interfere with other users' access to the App

Account Manipulation:

• Create multiple accounts to exploit rewards or features
• Share your account credentials with others
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Sell, trade, or transfer your account

AI Misuse:

• Attempt to manipulate AI responses for malicious purposes
• Use AI-generated content for commercial purposes without permission
• Claim AI-generated content as your own original work

5.3 Consequences of Violation

Violation of these Terms may result in:

• Warning or notice
• Temporary suspension of your account
• Permanent termination of your account
• Loss of all virtual currency, XP, and progress
• Legal action if applicable
